Hello long lost book blog. If you’re a parent you understand why the month of May means I have had very little time to read for fun. Alternately, if you’re a student you understand why I have so far spent the break between spring and summer semesters spending that little amount of free time vegging the f out. Because Briggs Loves Video Games and Naps Too.
Sadly, I’ve been too busy with life and school lately to make much progress on my TBR. I’ve gotten five chapters into my The Raven Boys reread and flipped through a few pages of the adorable Bloom graphic novel, but I haven’t been able to really dive in. That’s okay. As in all things, book binges come and go in waves. Life is all ebbs and flows. Right now my flow is a lot of kid stuff, getting through finals season, and obsessing over Game of Thrones. And that’s okay! But I started this blog to get back into the habit of writing and creating a little bit every day, so here I am. Let’s get off topic!

I’m making this a thing because I have so many old favorite books crowding around my heart. I was looking through my shelves and touching all of these old favorites fondly when I felt something furry and remembered The Wild Things by Dave Eggers, the novelization he wrote for the live-action film adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are.
