Hello long lost book blog. If you’re a parent you understand why the month of May means I have had very little time to read for fun. Alternately, if you’re a student you understand why I have so far spent the break between spring and summer semesters spending that little amount of free time vegging the f out. Because Briggs Loves Video Games and Naps Too.
But May is almost over and I have slowly been getting back to my TBR pile. These three are at the top of my list right now.
I love Stardust and was so excited to find this gorgeous illustrated edition, and I have heard so many good things about “Queen of the Tearling”. A very nice author reached out to me and asked if I would read “His Name Was Zach”- since it involves a post apocalyptic zombie infested wasteland I obviously said yes. So far I’m getting serious Joel and Ellie vibes (from the video game The Last of Us for you non-nerds) and can’t wait to see what happens next.
I should have reviews for at least two of these ready to post by the end of next week! I’ll also have a review up soon for “The Kiss Quotient” by Helen Hoang. I managed to squeeze that one in while waiting in school pick up lines and have mixed feelings about it.
Happy reading to you all!
