wednesday woes

blog

It’s 11 o’clock, I stayed up late to do Spanish homework, and I have only managed to accomplish creating fancy banners for my review page. I’m beginning to wonder if starting this blog was just an exercise in procrastination (and people wonder why it’s taken me ten years to get my college degree).

I started and finished “Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating” today and I’ve got that weird book hangover feeling from gobbling it down too fast. I really enjoyed it, which is a pleasant surprise considering it didn’t have a great first impression. The story found it’s voice towards the middle and it was a joy to read from that point on. Review coming tomorrow!

Instead of conjugating verbs I am wondering what project I should tackle next here on the blog. I would like to do more Read This, Not That because they are super fun but I am still trying to decide what topic to cover next. Some ideas I’ve had are “Fae books” “self-help books” “cookbooks” and “YA fantasy series” (because WOW talk about an insane amount of choices). I’ve also got a couple of good lookin’ books from NetGalley I want to read and review but alas, I cannot figure out how to get them onto my Kindle. I’m still such a book blogging noob.

For my Technical Writing class, I created a presentation detailing how to start a blog. Since I’ve been working on mine and learning about it I figured, why not make this project easier by doing it about something I’m already interested in? During the course of my research, I found out that WordPress had over 68 MILLION posts made in February alone. 68 MILLION! Talk about shouting into the void. At least I know my mom will read this. Hi mom!

If there is anyone out there besides my mom and you have ideas or suggestions for what content you would like to see, let me know! For instance; am I the only one who LOVES a really well done cookbook? I’m not even a good cook! There’s just something so cozy about them. I’ll probably post about them anyway; in fact, it might be fun to cook a recipe from the cookbook and post the results alongside the review. I cannot be held responsible for any kitchen fires that may ensue.

Buenas noches mundo!
